Seb Dickson
I am a 2019 Graduate of Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge, with a Masters of Engineering. I specialised in Mechanical engineering, with another emphasis on environmental and energy topics.
Since graduating I have worked at the UK Atomic Energy Authority’s Fusion energy research establishment, Culham Centre for Fusion Energy, working mainly on novel robotics development and integration for the unique engineering challenges posed by operating within fusion energy reactors.
I have also worked in manufacturing and automation in a start up and enjoy working from first principles and rapidly iterating, design through play style.
Details of my Masters project, on self-deployable structures made from tape springs, can be found using the menu. Various details of other (personal) projects I have done can also be found there, as some mild repository of nonsense.
I am a keen cyclist, having been national champion at the Team Time Trial and multiple University Championship medallist and enjoy playing the piano badly – although I’ve never played it well so I don’t know whether I’d enjoy that!
